Our bodies are actually really smart. They will crave the nutrition that we need. But when we eat unhealthy, we will never feel fully satisfied because we aren't getting the nutrients we need to function at optimum health. We get hungry more easily, and fill up on non nutritional foods again, and it becomes a vicious cycle. I know what you're thinking: well if I eat some celery and carrots, i'm not exactly feeling full! And you are probably right!! Although eating celery and carrots are good for you and are going to hold you over better than eating some cookies, you aren't necessarily going to feel full for an extended time.
